The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) has released the time table for Indian Certificate of Secondary Education or ICSE class 10 annual exams for the year 2019. The examinations will commence from February 22 and will conclude on March 25, 2019.
The exam for Indian School Certificate or ISC for class 12 students will be commencing on February 4, 2019 and concluding on March 25, 2019.
The ICSE exam will start with English Language paper 1 and will be concluded with Biology Science paper 3.
The exams will start in two different timings, i.e. from 9.00 am and 11.00 am. And they’ll be held in three different durations, 2 hours, 2 and half hours and 3 hours. In addition to the time indicated on the date sheet for writing the paper, 15 minutes time will be allotted for reading the question paper.
CISCE secretary Gerry Arathoon added “Compartmental exams will be held for ISC candidates having failed in the fourth subject and ICSE candidates in the fifth subject, in the same year, shortly after publication of the respective board results.”
Arathoon also said, “Students of Class 12, having passed in English and two other subjects but not in the fourth subject and Class 10 candidates, making it in English and three other subjects, but failing in the fifth subject, won't have to waste one year under the new system. Those candidates can sit for the supplementary (compartmental) test in June-July. ”
Arathoon, also the Chief Executive of CISCE, added “The results of the compartmental exam can then be published by August to enable successful students to enroll for higher studies.”
