Corona Outbreak Influences Advancement Of Virtual Learning In K-12

The outbreak of coronavirus has prompted authorities of education, especially in the K-12 sector, around the world to seriously consider Virtual Learning as an option to not interrupt the studies.

A platform utilizing electronic technologies, Virtual Learning has been a way of continuing studies for students from quite some time now, particularly in such cases where keeping schools open could lead to further spreading of deadly diseases. Interestingly, to resort the issue, private companies are coming forward to offer help to schools enable students in Virtual Learning or e-Learning by providing computers, tablets, etc.

ScooNews thinks this is the perfect time to ready ourselves for unfortunate situations like these. In fact, not just during the calamities, e-learning can be introduced to our education system to help every student who we cannot reach school physically. Let’s learn about this more and prepare such a perspective curriculum already.

  1. As a school, if you’ve got immobilised kids who temporarily cannot make it to the school due to an illness or accident, you can offer them e-learning so they don’t lag behind their rest of the class.
  2. There are some noble educationists who’ve taken the responsibility to teach underprivileged kids in the slum areas. In such situations, it becomes impossible to carry all the books, chalkboard and other items to the area. What do they do? Turn to computers and the internet!
  3. It is not unknown how kids today almost always have mobile phones or some sort of gadget with them. Educators and ed-techs can actually use this chance to their students’ benefit. Download educational games and apps that will allow them to play knowledgeable games and solve riddles to eventually learn a lesson of science, mathematics, geography, etc.
  4. Furthermore, we feel that Virtual Learning can make education more fun for the kids, for it has no timetable to follow whatsoever. This relaxed way of learning is sure to make them retain better.

We, at ScooNews, cannot stress enough on the exigency of Virtual Learning advancements. Do you have more to share, feel free to reach us at editor@scoonews.com.
