The Supreme Court of India approved the CBSE Assessment Policy for Class 12 results of 2021, the results are to be announced by July 31. The results will be based on the marks of the best three subjects of Class X (30%), marks of theory subjects of Class XI (30%) and marks of theory subjects of Class XII (40%). The marks of practicals will be taken as awarded in Class XII.
The moderation policy will also benefit students. Students, who are not satisfied with their results, will be provided with an option for appearing in the examination as soon as possible, as the situation becomes conducive.
To argue the case for CBSE was Attorney General KK Venugopal, in front of the bench of Justices AM Khanwilkar and Dinesh Maheshwari. Attorney General KK Venugopal said, "If a student is unable to meet the qualifying criteria, now spread across three years of study, they will be placed in the ‘essential repeat’ or ‘compartment’ category. The students who are not satisfied can appear again when the CBSE will conduct the Class 12 board exams."
The health and career of the students are the government's top priorities, and I am thankful to the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India for approving the CBSE Assessment Policy to declare Class XII 2021. This policy is in the interest of the students. (1/3) pic.twitter.com/5yjkyzsPZb— Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank (@DrRPNishank) June 17, 2021
